Camp Tiger invites children between the ages of 6-15 years old in the New Orleans, Northshore, Baton Rouge and Lower Parish metropolitan areas who are physically and/or mentally challenged to join us for a week-long day summer camp. We especially welcome those children who are unable to attend other camps available for special needs children. Although it is our goal to accommodate all children, due to limited funding and staff, we can only accept campers on a first come first serve basis whose needs we can meet with our current resources
Who staffs the camp? The camp is organized and staffed by first year medical students of the LSU School of Medicine. There are two medical students for every camper. Two nurses and Emergency Medical Technicians will be on site and a physician will be on call. Dr. Lazerus, the faculty advisor, also attends.
How much does it cost? The camp is free of charge for eligible children. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day.
Come join us at the WB Collective on March 9th 2024 from 7p-10p. This event will introduce you to and help support the New Orleans based non profit ResearchWild. They will highlight they accomplishments and continued goals to educate, inspire, and assist the next generation of conservationists.needs of those we serve.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
